How to get to Kizimkazi Beach

To get to Kizimkazi Beach, you’ll first need to travel to Zanzibar Islands. The easiest way to reach Zanzibar is by flying into Zanzibar International Airport, Kisauni.

From the airport, you can hire a taxi which can take you to Kizimkazi. The journey from the Airport to Kizimkazi takes one hour and half, depending on traffic and road conditions, it may take up to one hour and 45 minutes. Another option is to arrange for a private transfer with your hotel or tour operator in advance before you arrive. Organizing your private transfer in advance is the best option if you are visiting Zanzibar for a Holiday, price for the transfer ranges $45 – $60.

If you’re traveling from Tanzania mainland, you can take a ferry from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar, which takes approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Port, you can hire a taxi or take a shared shuttle which move to Kizimkazi.

Some people use Daladala because it is a cheap option, but be prepared for an uncomfortable ride, especially if you’re prone to motion sickness.
