If you’re planning a trip to come to Zanzibar, there’s one important requirement you need to know. From October 1, 2024, all international visitors must have Zanzibar’s mandatory inbound travel insurance regardless if you have your home insurance.
The insurance costs USD 44 per person and it will protect you when you get any emergency while you are in Zanzibar. The price is not constant, it changes according to the number and ages of people.

If you are solo traveler, then you pay $44
If two person $88 meaning $44 per person as normally
For the group starting 10 people, then you get 10% discount on the price
Children (3-17 Years) get 50% discount on the price, meaning they will pay $22
Infants (Ages 0-2 Years) are always free
